The popular saying, 'Respect goes where respect comes from', is one that reggae/dancehall superstar Bugle is embracing towards the new generation of musicians.

He advises his fellow colleagues to also partake in working with and "showing them respect".

"One of the reason why dancehall music seems so separated is because nuff of us [older artistes] act as if we are on high horses. But when yuh can bring yuh level down to where you were before you reach where you are right now, then you can understand the importance of singing a song with a younger artiste," Bugle told THE WEEKEND STAR.

"Nuff of us older artistes are not relevant to the younger generation because we think that we are more than the younger generation. Suh my thing has always been to collaborate with several of these younger artistes and show dem respect; and anyweh dem see me in the streets, dem show mi back mad love and respect. Mi a one a dem artiste deh weh always a try fi bridge the gap with the younger generation,"he added.

Bugle has collaborated on hit singles with a host of younger artistes, including Chronic Law, Jahvillani, Masicka and Shenseea. His recent single, Heart Too Clean, features international songwriter and singer Olaf Blackwood. Bugle also promised that he will be working on a collaboration with Jahshii.

"I did song with Shenseea before she become who she is. I saw her talent years ago and called Romeich and tell him seh she bad, and mi waah do a song wid her. Romeich drive come a mi place wid her and we went straight in my studio, and we just record a song that I already wrote. I also featured that song on my 2017 album ( Be Yourself). Even Jada Kingdom and I did a song titled Picture Perfect that was on my 2019 album," the entertainer shared. "Dat just mek di youth dem show more love and respect to me, because what if tomorrow morning I want back a song wid Masicka fi my album? Mi guarantee mi a go get it, because of the love weh mi show him inna di past."

The Anointed artiste implored other veterans to show more appreciation than criticisms to the new young acts.

"All dem need a guidance because dem done have di raw talent; a ghetto youth dem weh just need proper management. So it's our duty as seasoned artistes fi hold dem hand and bring dem through to process and mek dem become what they are supposed to be; and dem wudda love and respect wi more if wi show dem dah same love and respect deh," he reiterated. "When yuh see dem wid a song weh yuh like, post it pon yuh page and support dem, and show dem seh yuh appreciate dem."

Bugle is set to release his new album this year.
