Armanii, Weekday collab on ‘Property Tax’

Dancehall artiste Armanii and popular producer Weekday are celebrating the rapid global rise of their single, ‘Property Tax’.

The track has already charted in scores of countries and territories, with strong traction across the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Property Tax has appeared on charts in African countries such as Gambia, Rwanda and Cape Verde, European nations including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Greece and Slovenia, Asian countries including China and Thailand, as well as several islands in the Caribbean including Bermuda, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, and Barbados.

Weekday, given name Jahvanie Morrison, described the creative process as both focused and enjoyable.

“It was a great experience. While working alongside him you can see that he takes his craft very seriously, and takes time to ensure it’s perfect. Was a good vibes putting this project together,” he said. The record came together quickly.

“It took about a week from recording to mixing and mastering to get everything finished,” Weekday said. Looking ahead, the producer expressed high expectations for the song’s lasting impact.

“My hopes are that this song will become one of those ‘column’ songs in dancehall that has to get played. The world is gravitating to it already so I’m grateful for that. It’s already a hit and trending in over 50 countries worldwide,” Weekday said.
