Gospel recording artiste Minister Blessed is gearing up to release his new EP titled I Can Do All Things on his birthday, October 23.

The launch is scheduled for Prayz House, Sunshine Plaza balcony on Maxfield Avenue in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew. Several members from the gospel fraternity will perform at the launch.

“Attendees can expect nice vibes, games, food and refreshments, as well as live performances including myself, Goddy Goddy, Nadine Mare, Mighty Mic and others. DJ Marshy Redz will be on the turntables as the resident Prayz House disc jockey,” said Minister Blessed.

He said that the proceeds from the launch will go towards a medical and healthcare fund for his family members.

“So, we are doing this with a purpose in mind,” he said.

Among the tracks, the EP kicks off with Operation Consecration inspired by Romans 12 – a call to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing and acceptable unto God. The title track I Can Do All Things seeks to encourage students who may be facing challenges with their studies or exams, as well as adults facing unemployment or are demotivated from lack of recognition or promotion. Love Laugh delivers a comical tone, declaring that, with the joy of the Lord, we can have a good laugh, as laughter is good medicine.

The EP took 18 months to complete. It is the follow-up to Minister Blessed’s previous project, the Sterling Gospel Music Award-nominated I Did it Anyway. Minster Blessed compared it to I Can Do All Things.

“Key differences include this one being more hardcore versus a more balanced mellow approach in the previous one. The last time I explored reggae, worship and afrobeats; while this time it is strictly dancehall,” he said.

The previous EP also had three collaborations while this new work strictly features Minister Blessed as a solo act.

“While there were some similarities and common topics in the previous body of work, this one has sought to explore a wider range of topics that could be more relatable to listeners from different backgrounds and demographics,” he said.
