Contributed Shrimp Butter Pasta

Everyone loves a good hearty pasta dish. Here is a recipe that you can whip up in little time that is not only tasty, but healthy. Making use of already-cooked shrimp from B&D Trawling/Sea Best, this recipe is a hit for those who don't want to spend hours in the kitchen.

3 cups Sea Best cooked shrimp, thawed and cut into large chunks

1 stick butter

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (or to taste)

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 box thin spaghetti

2 handfuls fresh spinach

Parmigiano cheese to grate over top

• SautE shrimp in a pan with the butter and oil for two minutes. Add chili flakes and salt until shrimp is warmed.

• Cook pasta according to package directions. Keep shrimp warm while pasta cooks.

• When pasta is finished cooking and hot, reserve a spoonful of pasta water and drain. Add pasta and pasta water to the shrimp-butter mixture. Add the spinach and toss evenly to wilt the greens.

• Top with cheese.

• Serve immediately.
