It is said that the complainant observed Cunningham eerily sitting on their bed, seemingly awaiting her arrival.Things quickly became heated between them when an argument developed as she packed a few of her belongings because she was desirous of ending their relationship for good.
Things took a gruesome, as Cunningham is said to have used a kitchen knife to inflict wounds all over his babymother's upper body, causing her to bleed profusely.
She was subsequently taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) by the Duhaney Park police. She was admitted and underwent surgery.
It is said that following the incident, the accused man made his hasty escape from the area and was taken into custody on August 20 by the Glengoffe police. He was handed over to the Duhaney Park Criminal Investigation Branch thereafter.
In court, Senior RM Judith Pusey granted Cunningham bail in the sum of $100,000 with surety. He is to return to court on December 1 for a mention
