The Kingston Central police have detained four suspects in connection with yesterday's theft outside the Duke Street Branch of the National Commercial Bank in Kingston.

Head of the Kingston Central Police, Superintendent Michael Scott, said the four men were detained following an operation. He said the men are now being interrogated, but declined to divulge much details.

The police said a woman was about to enter the bank with a bag of cash when two men rode up on a motorcycle. According to the police, the men grabbed at the woman who dropped the bag and ran.

Scott dismissed earlier reports that a man was shot and injured during the incident.

Following the incident, police investigators diverted traffic in the vicinity of NCB, Duke Street, as Scene of Crime sleuths processed the area.
