6 teens get bail for rape
Six teens who allegedly took turns raping a teenage girl were granted bail in the sum of $200,000 each, when they appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
When the case came up for mentioned before Resident Magistrate Tara Reid-Carr, attorney-at-law Earl Hamilton made a successful bail application on the men's behalf.
The men were granted bail on condition that they relocated from their community. They were warned not to interfere with the complainant in the matter and return to court March 15, 2016.
Allegations are that earlier this month the six accused took turns raping the complainant in a rural St Catherine community. They were held and subsequently identified by the complainant as the culprits that raped her.
