Men charged for attempting to break into store

Three men, allegedly caught breaking into a store in Kingston, will start the new year behind bars, remanded when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Kwame Williams, Harold Brown and Kimo Shaw are charged with possession of housebreaking implements. Additional charges are to be brought, pending further investigations.

The court heard that, on Sunday, December 13, at about 10:30 p.m., the police, acting on information, visited Mark Lane in Kingston where they found the three accused using a glass cutter and hammer, attempting to break into the store.

They were accosted by the police and taken into custody.

The accused have not yet answered to the charge laid against them. They are to return to court on January 4.
