Devin Di Dakta Charged

The 2015 winner of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, Devin Di Dakta, was yesterday arrested and charged with assault.

Devin di Dakta, whose real name is Anthony Clarke, was charged in connection with an incident involving an exotic dancer.

"This is stemming from January where a stripper went and made a report initially," the artiste's manager, Shelly-Ann Curran, told THE STAR.

The incident, which led to Devin di Dakta's arrest, is alleged to have taken place at a strip club, which is owned by businessman Corey Todd.

Devin di Dakta was given station bail and is expected to appear in court in short order to answer to the charge.

"We are going to fight it, and we are not backing down from Mr Corey Todd," Curran said.

Todd was on Tuesday charged with assault occasioning bodily hard by the police. He is alleged to have physically assaulted Devin Di Dakta.
