The Police High Command has expressed outrage at the murder of another member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), who was killed by unknown assailants on Sunday.

The officer has been identified as 31-year-old Kemoi Miller of the Kingston Eastern Division.

Reports are that about 1 a.m. residents heard loud explosions and called the police. On their arrival, they found Miller slumped over the steering wheel of the car he was driving. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the High Command is reminding all members of the JCF that the threat level against police personnel remains at extreme. Members are also being urged to be alert at all times, especially off duty, and to take whatever legal actions necessary to protect themselves, colleagues and their families.

Detectives from the Kingston Western Division are investigating the matter.
