Man in hit-and-run accident held
The St Catherine North police have held the driver of a Honda motor car that mowed down a teenager in Spanish Town last week Sunday.
The man was held about 3 p.m. yesterday by a police party while he was conducting on a bus going to Kingston.
A car fitting the description of the one involved in the fatal crash was found at his home.
The car has been seized, and is now being stored at the Spanish Town Police Station.
The man has been placed in custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to report an accident.
Reports are that about 6:30 p.m. on December 11, 14-year-old Rajor Clementson was riding a bicycle along Brunswick Avenue in Spanish Town when he was hit by a motorist who did not stop.
He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
