Pepsi-Cola Jamaica seeks to create world record
Pepsi-Cola Jamaica is attempting to create the largest fist bump chain ever of 10,000 with the launch of their 'Join the Vibe' promotion.
From the Christmas season through to January 9, 2017, people are invited to join the vibe by recording themselves making a fist bump then uploading to www.jointhevibepepsi.com using their phones or PC to add to the tally.
"Jamaica is the country with the most vibe and a fist bump has always been our unique gesture of greeting our friends and family in a naturally warm and friendly way," said Elizabeth Swaby, brand manager, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica. "We've broken and set records as a country globally, and this is yet another chance for us to continue that trend."
Participants must register for the contest site with their names and email addresses before uploading their fist bump.
Once the video is loaded to the site, it will go through an approval process to ensure that it meets the requirements and regulations of the contest - that is, two fists making contact.
The approval and final upload process will take at least 24 hours.
Participants also have the option of using the website to make uploads by visiting and following instructions on the homepage.
The competition is restricted to legal residents of Jamaica and one fist bump per entrant.
