A group of friends grieve after learning of Tashoy Barrett's death.

The St Thomas police have charged the man who was implicated in the murder of 19-year-old Tashoy Barrett in Brayson district, Arcadia, in the parish.

He is 27-year-old Odaine Keyes of Arcadia, St Thomas.

Keyes, who was being sought in connection with the December 25 murder of Barrett, turned himself in to the police, accompanied by a relative on Sunday. He was questioned in the presence of his attorney and later charged with murder.

Barrett's body was found in a pool of blood in Keyes' home after friends went searching for her when she did not turn up for church.

Keyes will appear in the St Thomas Parish Court later this month.
