Rockfort mechanic charged with rape

The police confirmed that 20-year-old Alex Barley, a mechanic from Rockfort in Kingston, was arrested and charged with the rape of a teenage girl in the parish earlier this year.

It is reported that Barley entered the child’s room from a balcony on March 1, and raped her.

Following joint investigations by the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and the police, Barley turned himself in on Friday, August 19, and was charged following an interview.

His court date is being arranged.
