Pastor allegedly lures woman into assault trap twice with promise of employment

A promise of employment allegedly turned into a nightmare for a woman after a 45-year-old minister of religion allegedly lured her to his Portmore home and sexually assaulted her on two occasions.

The clergyman was charged on Tuesday, September 22, with grievous sexual assault, forcible detention with intent to commit sexual intercourse and forcible abduction.

Reports are that the accused met the complainant in the Corporate Area and promised her employment.

It is alleged that on August 7 and August 16, the accused lured the woman to his home in Portmore.

The accused reportedly detained her and took away her cellular phone before allegedly forcibly sexually assaulting her on both occasions.

A report was subsequently made to the St Catherine South Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA), and an investigation was launched.

The accused was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer session.
