Reigning champions Cavalier SC will oppose Swallowfield FC in the opening game of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Bill Express Under-17 competition tomorrow, starting at 4 p.m.

The venue is yet to be decided.

The competition will see a new sponsor as GraceKennedy Money Services under its Bill Express brand has taken over as title sponsor from Tastee Limited. Bill Express has donated $1.5 million while associate sponsor JP Tropical Foods Limited has contributed $800,000 to this year's competition.

The announcement was made during the official launch of the Corporate Area football competition at the Sports Development Foundation offices on Phoenix Avenue, St Andrew yesterday.

In giving an overview, KSAFA competitions committee chairman Marc Williams said the competition will run for ten weeks.

The 25 clubs registered to participate are divided into four Zones.

KSAFA president, Ambassador Stewart Stephenson, said that playing in the league will serve as exposure for talent.

"We shifted the starting of the league since last year in order for the top players to play during the May to July period. This competition seeks to attract those players who are preparing for the Manning and daCosta Cup schoolboy competitions commencing in the new school year in September," Stephenson shared.
