Fourth Test - Play abandoned because of soft outfield
August 20, 2016
PORT-OF-SPAIN (CMC):
Play has been abandoned without a ball bowled on the second day of the fourth and final Test between West Indies and India at Queen's Park Oval here yesterday.
The umpires made four inspections throughout the day but determined that the outfield remained too soft for play to resume.
Heavy rains on Thursday's opening day limited play to one and three quarter hours in which time West Indies reached 62 for two, after opting to bat first.
Kraigg Brathwaite was unbeaten on 32 when play was stopped on Thursday.
