Jamaica's Stephenie McPherson

PARIS, France:

Three Jamaicans, Stephenie-Ann McPherson, Christine Day, and Simone Facey will be in action today when the 12th International Association of Athletics Federations Diamond League meeting in Paris gets underway at the Stade de France today.

Despite a sixth place finish in the women's 400m in Rio, competing in the one lap event today will be added motivation for McPherson who has an outside chance of winning the Diamond Trophy.

McPherson, who is in second place on 25 points behind Shaunae Miller on 30, could take over the lead with a big performance today.

Day, following her disappointing run at Rio will be eyeing a win here too.

Simone Facey will compete in the women's 200 metres.

Time of the Jamaicans competing today

1:17 pm: Christine Day, Stephenie McPherson: Women's 400 metres

1:55 pm: Simone Facey: Women's 200 Metres.
