Seamer out of WI tour

September 07, 2016

A thumb injury has forced seamer Beth Langston to miss England Women's one-day international tour of the West Indies.

Langston will be out of action for about six weeks after breaking her left thumb during a training match last week.

The 23-year-old Loughborough Lightning bowler has two T20 caps for England but missed this summer's series with Pakistan because of an ankle injury.

England will play all five ODIs in Jamaica with the first two matches scheduled for Trelawny Stadium October 8 and 10, while the other three games will take place at Sabina Park October 14, 16 and 19.

The England squad for the tour is expected to be announced next week.
