NHT, Jamalco reach Business House T20 final

National Housing Trust (NHT) and Jamalco will meet in next Sunday's Business House Twenty20 final.

NHT, led by outstanding performances from George Walker and Tareque Whyte, beat National Bakery by six wickets at the Mico University College.

Walker bagged four wickets for nine runs and Whyte scored an undefeated 59.

Batting first, National Bakery ended with 96 for nine off 17.5 overs batting one man short. National representative Damion Jacobs made 28, Glen Wellington 27, and Ramon Senior 23. Quenue McKinson two for 23, and Patrick Hamilton two for 26, were also among the wickets.

In reply, NHT reached their target off 19 overs. Whyte's 59 included seven boundaries. Antwain Stephens made 18 and Jevaughn Baker 15 not out, while Christophe Lamont took three wickets for 18 for the losers.

In the other semi-final at Jamalco, the home team stopped Jamaica Broilers by 22 runs. Scores: Jamalco 79 for eight, and Jamaica Broilers 57 off 18.1 overs.

Pete Salmon, 20, led the way for Jamalco, while Andre Henry took four for 11.

Only Henry with 11 reached double figures as Janore Barrett captured 5 for 12, and Javoir Royal 3 for five.
