Reno still dreaming
Vassell 'Tutu' Reynolds, coach of FC Reno, says they have a slender chance of getting into the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) play-offs and his team remains motivated.
After a 2-0 home loss to Harbour View last Sunday, Reno are in tenth position on 39 points. With two games remaining in the RSPL preliminary stage, Reno are five points behind Cavalier who are sitting in sixth position on 44 points.
In a crucial clash next Sunday Reno will face Cavalier at Stadium East and the Westmoreland-based outfit is fully aware that they must win to keep their mathematical chances alive.
"We have some amount of motivation by the fact that there is a mathematical chance of making a top six play-off spot. It is unfortunate that we lost our last two games. We had hoped to collect at least three of the six points that were available," Reynolds told STAR Sports.
"We lost those two games and also conceded five goals. We have to regroup from a mental standpoint and go all out against Cavalier. Not only to get three points but to score some goals," he added.
"We are aware of the situation that we face. It is a must win for us against Cavalier. Anything less will not be good enough for a play-off spot. Our aim is not to concede and get a couple of goals," Reynolds pointed out. "We have some training sessions to motivate the team for the Cavalier clash. We want to keep our mathematical chances alive by winning and hope that other teams ahead of us lose."
