RSPL Play-offs Profile: 'Bibi' wary of Dangerous Waterhouse
Coach of Harbour View, Ricardo 'Bibi' Gardner says that Waterhouse is a dangerous opponent in the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) quarter-final two way tie.
Both teams are tentatively set to clash in the first leg next Monday night at Harbour View Stadium.
"First and foremost, the focus is on Waterhouse, we have to go out there to get the job done. We have to win the individual and collective battles on the day in order to get past Waterhouse," Gardner told STAR Sports during his team's training session at Compound last Monday.
"We just have to be ready physically and mentally for two tough games against Waterhouse. The players have to go out there and do the job to the best of their abilities. We have some days to prepare for the first game in the two way tie, so we just have to dig deep in training," he said.
Gardner who is a former Reggae Boyz and Bolton Wanderers star, is fully aware of Waterhouse's turn around in form since Donovan Duckie took control as head coach last November.
"Coach Duckie have came in and done a wonderful job with Waterhouse. He has moved the team forward and if you look at the position and style that they finish the season in Waterhouse will be dangerous," Gardner pointed out.
"It will be a difficult encounter against Waterhouse, but as I always say with God everything is possible. We want to go out there and work hard for ourselves. Playing at home it is always important to get a good result. It is important to get a positive result on Monday at home. We can always talk but the game is played on the pitch," the former Harbour View player, concluded.
