I can't keep a man

Dear Pastor,

I am a 21-year-old female. I have always loved your column and I have written to you, but never got a response. I hope this time I will hear from you.

My problem is, I don't keep boyfriends for long. I don't believe it's my fault. Men are always nice to me, then after about a year, they leave me. I am single for some time now because the last man I was dating stole something from me and I never saw him again. I am lonely. I do not just want to be in a relationship, I want someone to be by my side. A lot of men have come my way, but I am not interested. I just want to lay low for a while. Am I doing the right thing? I have never had sex either.

S.B.

Dear S.B.,

You are not in a hurry to get a boyfriend, and you need not worry. But I do get the impression that you would appreciate male friends. You have high standards, so we publish this letter hoping that young men who are interested in a young woman who would like to find men with whom she can have sweet fellowship and companionship will contact you.
