Nervous about contraceptives

aaron dumas

Dear Pastor,

I am 20 years old and I just started to have sex. I have been with my boyfriend from I was 16 years old and he has never asked for sex until now.

The only thing is, I know nothing about sex, than the obvious. I want to go on contraceptive pills or anything that will lower my risk of getting pregnant, but I don't know anything about them or what they will do to my body.

Can you advise me please? I await your response.

Dear G.J.,

You can go on the Internet and find out lots of things about sex and what a woman can use to prevent her from becoming pregnant.

At least I hope you know that if you have unprotected sex, you can get pregnant. You may discuss this matter with your family doctor.

He or she will advise you. It would be wise for you to see a doctor before going on contraceptives.
