Scared my girlfriend's mom will obeah me

Dear Pastor,

I have been listening to you on the radio and I read your column every day. When I first started to read Tell Me Pastor, I thought you were biased and was always on the side of the women, but over the years I could see that you are not biased.

You talk the truth and sometimes you hit the men hard, and another time you hit the women hard.

I have a girlfriend and I try to take good care of her, but she does not want to work. She stays home all day and watches television and plays games on her cell phone.

Every weekend, her mother comes up to see her and when she comes up, I have to give up the bed that I sleep on with my girlfriend so that she can sleep with her on the bed.

I told her that her mother shouldn't come up so often and she was vexed. I don't know if she has another boyfriend.

Pastor, I make $15,000 per week and out of that I give her $6,000, and she was still quarrelling and saying that is not enough.

She goes to the shop to buy Cash Pot every day and if I talk to her about it, she says that I don't want her to have any fun at all.

My boss wanted somebody to clean up and I told her to come in and talk to him; she accused me of wanting her around me to watch her.

I am not interested in going for counselling. I want to leave her, but her mother believes in obeah and if I were to leave her, her mother would work obeah on me.

So, please, is there any way I could get rid of this woman and don't hurt myself? We don't have children together, but I have a daughter who is living with her mother and I want this woman to leave so that my daughter and her mother can come to live with me.

My babymother told me that I should leave everything with my girlfriend and come and live with her.

Pastor, what do you say? My babymother doesn't interfere with her at all, but she is always calling up my babymother's name.

This girl comes from a wicked family and I don't want anything to happen to my daughter.

L.T.

Dear L.T.,

You don't need to worry about what's going to happen to your daughter. If you want to leave this woman with whom you are living, do so and don't worry about whether you are going to get hurt through obeah.

Not a thing is going to happen to you. You have tried to get her to seek a job, but she has not shown any interest in that. You should bring this relationship to an end.

She is fortunate to be receiving $6,000 per week from you and she does nothing. How much do you give your child's mother to take care of her?

Your child's mother has suggested that you leave everything that you have with this woman and come to live with her. If you were to do so, it would mean that you would have to start over.

Don't bother continuing to think that this woman can destroy you with obeah. That is foolishness. Move out and move on with your life and don't look back.

Pastor.
