I want a man to love me

Dear Pastor,

I am 40 years old and writing for my PhD, but when it comes to men, I do not make good decisions. The only man that I truly loved took advantage of me. He had a child with a woman. I have been told by men how good I am at love making, but I can't find a man who will stay with me.

I met a guy and I was with him and trying to help him to get his permanent visa, but while we were together, he was still fooling around. He loved to have sex with me and he loved my cooking, but he treated me like a dog.

People think that I am a lesbian because I have never been married. I don't ask any of the men for money. I don't need their money. All I need from them is love.

I give men love, but they do not give me love in return. They treat other women well, but they don't treat me well. I don't know what I have done. I don't trust men anymore, but I will never turn to a woman. I don't support such relationships.

Dear Anonymous,

The only thing I can say to you is that you have to stop trusting in your own ability to find a man who will love and respect you and eventually marry you. I suggest that you put this matter in God's hands. Some women get married early. Others get married when they are much older. God knows your need. Pray and leave everything to him.

You are a woman who loves to treat men right, so I would advise you not throw yourself around. If a man shows interest in you, you should also show interest in him. At the same time, you have to play hard to get. Men don't like women who are too easy. They will take advantage of them and leave them.
