Konshens wants more from his career
With constant demand for appearances locally and abroad, there can be little argument that dancehall artiste Konshens has had a successful career to date.
Having broken into the local industry a decade ago, Konshens has produced hits such as Winner, Good Girl Gone Bad (with Tarrus Riley), Couple Up, Gyal a Bubble, and I'm Coming, which have helped him become a household name.
As good as it has been, he wants to achieve greater levels of success and has indicated he is ready to put the work in that will help him scale higher heights in his musical career.
"I am happy but never satisfied," said the entertainer, who said he plans to spend some time with his local fans for 2016.
"I think I've made a steady rise with limited resources and connections, but it has been hard work and trial and error."
He revealed he has made many mistakes along the way, but his drive and confidence has always remained intact.
"Nuff things work great and nuff no work at all, but (I have) no regrets because no one was there to show me how or advise me, so I just had to keep trying," he said.
"That's something I want to highlight to all upcoming artistes and trying youth, even if you don't see a way or have someone to guide or help you just try and believe in yourself."
In the meantime, he continues to work hard, hoping to break through to an even higher level soon and, as such, has new projects coming out soon.
"I have a lot of major collabs with artistes and producers worldwide. I was on a platinum single called Policeman, last year, an EDM track, this, plus my huge dancehall fan base has really been opening up some doors internationally," he said.
