Razor B is making noise once again.

The Canadian-Jamaican dancehall artiste’s latest single, Trouble, a collaboration with versatile artiste, songwriter and producer Tash Simone, is gaining traction on FM radio and in the streets since its September 4 release. Trouble brings Razor B’s signature dancehall energy together with Tash Simone’s genre-fluid artistry and production talents. As an artiste who works across genres and contributes both behind and in front of the microphone, Tash Simone brings a strong creative dimension to the collaboration.

“The feedback from both songs has been amazing,” said Razor B. “We’re getting great responses from the streets, in the clubs and from radio stations.”

The momentum continues with Bad Gal Time, produced by PolaBeatz and Picante Music, currently sitting at No. 13 on the Reggae North Canadian Reggae & Dancehall Top 20 chart. Trouble has also reached No. 74 on the iTunes Canada Reggae chart, while receiving substantial airplay.

Razor B’s catalogue is also gaining renewed international attention. Bruk Fi Mi Back, which is featured on Strictly the Best Vol. 55, is charting in Macedonia, Mali, Venezuela, Croatia and Sierra Leone. Don’t Stop It is charting in the British Virgin Islands, Gambia, Nicaragua and Moldova, while Sidung, featuring Stacious, is charting in Bermuda.

“I’m very happy with the way things are going right now,” Razor B said. “The music is travelling and connecting with people in different parts of the world.”

And he’s not slowing down. Fans can expect more from Razor B and Tash Simone, with the artistes confirming that a larger collaborative project is in the works.

“There’s lots more to come,” Razor B said.
