Carey Sayles hopes to win souls at Gosplash
Anybody who has ever met Carey Sayles knows how powerful and sincere his music is.
If his soul-stirring album Love Praise Hope, released in 2011, gave the world a taste of his amazing talent, If I Be Lifted Up, released in late 2015, was the main course.
There has hardly ever been a more talented gospel artiste and for the un-initiated Gosplash 2016 will be their baptism. Sayles plans to win more souls for the Lord at the one-day gospel festival set for the Fort Clarence Beach in Hellshire, St Catherine, on August 1.
"I am very excited to be a part of it. I hope it will be a great success, not just financially, but also spiritually that we can do something for the nation," Sayles told The STAR. "Start something that the coldness and the heaviness of the nation will be lifted. So we're praying for power for Gosplash this year."
Sayles said his latest album that was released on December 12, 2015, has been a success. "We have 11 tracks. We wrote about nine of the tracks on it," he said. "People have told me that they have sensed the growth in the music. It is a little bit different from the previous ones because we are trying to show variety but not lose that level of spirituality so that people can be blessed and hearts can be changed for Christ."
Sayles is part of the Gosplash line-up that includes Pastor Dietrick Haddon, Jabez, Prodi, Shirley Willis, DJ Nicholas, and others.
