Dancehall artiste Shaka Pow's 'Ice Cream Love', featuring Abby Dallas, has been added to the playlist of the popular rival radio stations Hot 97 and Power 105 in New York.

The song, which is featured on a classic 'Coxsone' Dodd instrumental, is a Shabba Ranks remake and has received the kudos from legendary dancehall artiste Bounty Killer, who believes that the record has hit potential.

"It has been excellent thus far, and I am also pleased with the video. We went old school with the costumes and the style of dancing, and everybody who heard it had been saying it sounds refreshing and timeless. Bounty Killer recently told me not to promote any other songs because this is a sure hit," Shaka Pow said.

Ice Cream Love is yet to cement itself in the dancehall space. However, Shaka Pow is already setting plans to reap the benefits in other markets outside of the region.

"Jamaica will catch on, but this is tour-quality music. It is every artiste's dream to have their song played on stations like Hot 97, 99 Jamms, and Power 105 because they are the key to the Billboard, and that is what we are aiming for. Stone Love has been playing the dubplate, and we are taking up momentum. We have peaked on one chart already," he said.

Ice Cream Love was produced by Outfytt Records and is being promoted by Platinum Camp. Shaka Pow also has another record, featuring Tornado, titled Foot A Road.
