Spragga Benz to release first album in seven years

It has been seven years since fans got a taste of an album with new material from dancehall veteran Spragga Benz, but he plans to please listeners with his new album, 'The Journey Continues', which is scheduled for a summer release.

One of his newest single, A Just We, is to be released on iTunes and other digital platforms on April 28.

The Journey Continues was produced by LMR Pro. It is the seventh studio album from Spragga Benz, whose last release was 2010's Shotta Culture.

Spragga is known for hits such as She Nuh Ready Yet, Dedicated featuring Wayne Wonder, Girls Hooray, Jack It Up, Weh Ya Say Star, A1 Lover and Boom She Wrong, as well as albums like Uncommonly Smooth, Fully Loaded and Thug Nature.




In a move to stir interest for the forthcoming album, Spragga has several confirmed performances for shows in the United States and the Caribbean. These include Barbados (April 30), Bridgeport, Connecticut (May 19), Bronx, New York (May 20), and his celebrity birthday bash in Fort Lauderdale on June 10.

Spragga recently performed at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York. He is currently throwing the promotional muscle behind songs like How Yuh Bad Suh by Xyclone, and Celebrate by Briggy Benz, featuring Beenie Man.

A video for the single A Just We was recently shot in New York. It was directed by Deus Beni.
