Mr Lexx sets pace for big Sumfest weekend
Veteran DJ Mr Lexx on Wednesday night set the tone for an exciting climax to Reggae Sumfest 2017 after delivering a commanding set at the Blitz Retro Block Party in Montego Bay on Wednesday night.
Lexx, who reeled out popular hits such as Let Those Monkeys Out, Ring Mi Cellie, Good Hole and Full Hundred, took the entire venue on a sing-a-long, and back to the days when he ruled the roost.
Having successfully executed his leg of the relay, Lexx now hands over the baton to the likes of Aidonia, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Alkaline and Tommy Lee Sparta, who are set to ignite the Sumfest stage in Catherine Hall tonight.
Also slated to perform tonight are Spice, Tifa, Dexta Daps, Tory Lanez, Masicka, Ding Dong, Devin Di Dakta and Jahmeil.
Sean Paul, Sizzla, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Chris Martin and Beenie Man are some of the big performing slated to hit the stage the Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Wednesday's event, which was the fourth in a series of weeklong Sumfest activities, warmed the hearts of retro musical lovers.
Sky Juice from Metro Media came, saw and conquered. He bragged of his prowess with the opposite sex and blasted upcoming selectors for daring to try and upstage him.
The indomitable Stone Love, with Billy Slaughter and Randy Rich, took the party to another level, delighting fans with every selection.
This would set the pace for the rest of the night with highly rated selectors Boom Boom and Harry Hype maintaining the vibe throughout their set.
