Kafinal teams up with Queen Ifrica for 'Talk Or No Talk'
Juno award winner and recording artiste Kafinal has teamed up with Queen Ifrica for his latest single, 'Talk or no Talk'.
Known for his sometimes comedic but often conversational lyrics, Kafinal is back with another song that should spark water cooler conversations.
He explained that a real-life scenario inspired the song, which was produced by Sing and Act Entertainment. The beat was created by Canadian band Di Cru, while jazz performer Eddie Bullen engineered the recording.
"Me and a close friend were talking about whether persons should reveal the details of the cheating acts of their respective spouse/girlfriend to their friend. The question became a debate about who would talk or not, and this became the inspiration for the song," Kafinal shared.
"The debate needed a woman's opinion. However, not just any woman - preferably one whose opinions matter musically. Everybody knows Queen Ifrica as a straight shooter. Given the concept of the song and story behind it, there is no other artiste I could pair with on this project."
Originally from Portmore, St Catherine, Kafinal, whose given name is Jeffrey Williams, migrated to Canada more than 10 years ago. In 2016, he won Canada's Juno Award for Best Reggae Recording for the song Nah Complain, which features U-Roy.
Talk or no Talk is currently available for pre-sale. It will be released digitally on October 5.
