Brite Lite boss to host all-white party at Sabina Park
Brite Lite Funeral Services and Supplies director, Tommy Thompson, has a grand soiree planned for the second inaugural King of All-White party on July 26.
The grounds of Sabina Park will be transformed to an all-white paradise, as the 'All-White Boss' celebrates his 60th birthday with guests, top selectors and guest artistes Dexta Daps and Bounty Killer.
"The crowd was really happy with their performances last year and I wanted to keep that flavour and entertainment value so I'm having them back this year," Thompson told THE WEEKEND STAR. "Dexta Daps is burning the airwaves, the women especially enjoyed his performance last year and he is gonna be bigger and better this time around."
Entertainment will also be provided by a myriad of DJs including Alanzo Hawk, DJ Ray and DJ Mental, which Thompson said will satiate the musical appetite of all patrons.
"You're gonna be fully entertained from the moment you walk into the venue, with the ambiance, food. We'll have cabanas for sale with Hennessy, Moscato and bottle service ladies included, and we'll also be going all out with the lighting," he said. "Everybody knows that I'm the first person to bring light to external parties. When I started my sound system years ago, the only lights you'd see at a party was where the turntable was. I brought the club into the streets with laser lights and all sort of lights, and I continue to do things a little different from everybody so folks can expect to be catered to."
Thompson's experience in event planning spans 18 years, as he was actively involved in planning shows like Settlement and Sting.
Being big on birthdays, he hosted his birthday parties at his home, but decided to move to a bigger venue because of growing numbers.
"We had over a 1,000 people last year with no advertisements," he said. "I'm a person who interacts with people on all levels and I hang out at their parties whenever it is possible. I have a core base out there based on who I am, so I usually attract a good turnout. I'm building the brand, the response has been good and I'll be there July 26 to greet everybody, God's willing, if all goes well. It's gonna be bomb."
