Recording artiste Alkaline has amassed more than 30 million streams on digital platforms this year, largely due to the release of 12 singles and a collaboration with Stalk Ashley.

As 2020 draws to a close, Alkaline, who celebrates his 27th birthday this Thursday, has started releasing various visuals for singles released earlier this year, all of which have garnered millions of views .

The visuals for his single We Up rose to No. 1 on the coveted Apple Video and YouTube charts. The Billboard-charting artiste also followed suit with the release of a video for his single Nah Fi Like, which amassed more than 510,000 views on YouTube in a day. The video peaked at No. 2 on the Apple Video and No. 1 on YouTube charts since its release.

The high-society-themed visuals for Nah Fi Like portray Alkaline strutting around a mansion in Miami with beautiful females and exotic animals.

Entertainment publicist Shuzzr argued that with Alkaline's meteoric rise in dancehall, amid mounting opposition and constant criticism, Alkaline has clearly found the formula that has made him a successful, independent artiste in reggae-dancehall.

Shuzzr said that the visuals, which are now being released, are being well received by the market.

"The entertainment landscape demands quality production on all levels, and it's projects like these that embody not just the core of dancehall, but also showcases the standard-bearer of the genre," Shuzzr said.
