Up-and-coming artiste Kreed has his eyes fixed on becoming a household name in music.

"My energy must be felt and desired," said the Vere Technical High School past student.

Currently promoting Inhuman, his latest single, the Clarendon native developed a love for music from an early age, and started penning his own lyrics at age 11.

"I have a message for the world, and the world will receive this through this powerful force called music," Kreed said.

The artiste recalled huddling with his friends to listen to dancehall artistes like Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Aidonia as a youngster.

"It really sparked our interest, that we decided to start writing and recording songs as well, and that's how it all began. This got us into lyrical clashes with other artistes from other communities and in our own. The reaction of fans gave us more passion and drive to continue doing music. By this everyone knew us and encouraged us to continue with our music," he said.

Speaking of Inhuman, Kreed said: "This song tells my life! My joys, my hurt, my cries! It's some of my life experiences and what I have learned, become and aim to be."

In the meantime, Kreed, who has been described as a unique entertainer, has added his voice to the need for persons to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

"I support and encourage full vaccinations for my Jamaican citizens and everyone globally, so that we can get back to our everyday living and reopen an ailing entertainment sector, so that budding stars like myself will get our well-deserved break," Kreed said.
