JB The Artiste salutes the ‘Fallen Soldier’
Dancehall singjay JB The Artiste has released a new video titled Fallen Soldier, which pays tribute to those who have departed this life.
Shot by Atlanta-based film director Kenny Gray, the sombre visuals see the Florida-based Jamaican entertainer paying homage to family and friends. He pours his emotions into a solo piano session while reminiscing on moments shared during better days. JB The Artiste, who made his foray onto the music scene in 2019, says the song is very personal and is an ode to those who have succumbed to the challenges of the pandemic and the spiralling crime epidemic in Jamaica.
"The past two years have been very challenging for me dealing with the pandemic and away from my friends and loved one in Jamaica, many of whom lost their lives. So this is my way of coping by expressing the pain through my music," he said.
Produced by Dynasty Records in collaboration with DJ Mac and JB Productions, the entertainer says he's optimistic about the song's potential to become a bona fide hit. So far, the video has amassed over 135,000 views via YouTube.
JB The Artiste is best known for the collaborative efforts Party Nice, featuring American rapper Cassanova, and Club Rave, which features dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel.
