Malaysian reggae artiste Sasi The Don is hoping that his new single, titled Come Follow Me, will make a big impact on the Jamaican music scene.

"I hope that my new single will be warmly received in Jamaica, because the island of Jamaica and its people are very dear to my heart. Although I've never been to Jamaica, its culture and music have had a profound impact on my life. I grew up listening to reggae and dancehall music in Malaysia. That's how I learned about Jamaican culture and how to speak Patois," he said.

Come Follow Me was produced by platinum-certified Sweden-based producer Tomas Granlind.

"When I reached out to Tomas, it was a very difficult time for me as a creative because I couldn't travel and interact with other creatives the way I used to before the pandemic. I was just there sitting at home doing nothing. But I wanted to make some new music, so I decided to reach out to him. He created the beat for the song and sent it to me. After that, I wrote the lyrics and recorded the song. It took about a year for us to complete this project," he said. Come Follow Me was released with a video on March 11.

Sasi The Don is one of the biggest reggae acts in Southeast Asia. He's a multi-award winning and nominated artiste who has worked with several Jamaican musicians and artistes, including Maxi Priest and Taddy P.
