Even though he has been exploring different genres, music producer Extol has his eyes set on dancehall as his dominant area.

He has been working twice as hard to dominate the sector with hard-hitting beats and recently crafted the Different Species rhythm, which features dancehall heavyweights TeeJay, Chronic Law and Rygin King.

"When I was listening to the rhythm I started to hear the artistes dem on it [based on] the sound that the riddim was giving me," he said. "TeeJay first voice [on the rhythm's title track], then Rygin King [ Plead my Cause], then Chronic Law [ Private Class]. But the Rygin King song was released first so I decided to release them as singles. Then I am going to do a compilation with the rhythm because I have a couple of up-and-coming artistes on the rhythm who I would like to give a chance." The TeeJay single is slated for release on April 15.

To date, Extol has also worked with artistes like Tommy Lee Sparta, Govana, Masicka and Prince Swanny. He names noted producers Stephen McGregor, Notnice, Russian, Timbaland and Swiss Beatz as having the biggest influence on his career. Their works have inspired him to compose solid rhythms which have allowed him to work with some of Jamaica's best talents.

Extol said that Sean Paul, Popcaan, Jada Kingdom, Shenseea, Christopher Martin and Romain Virgo are among the artistes with whom he would love to work in the near future.
