East Wing Productions aims high
East Wing Productions' head honcho Jimmy Q is confident that one day a track produced by the label will reach number one on the Billboard charts, which will be an ultimate achievement.
He is currently promoting the Luxury rhythm, the album for which charted at number five on the reggae iTunes chart.
"We have been getting a lot of great responses from DJs in Germany, Africa, London, Bahamas, France, Jamaica, and across the rest of the Caribbean," said Jimmy Q. The rhythm features artistes like Munga Honorable, Sharpadanarazor and Ikatik.
"My music is really for moods, so the Luxury rhythm will appeal to that kind of vibe or feeling. ' So, mi wan live, Polo fi days' as Munga says in his song. Sharpadanarazor speaks about frauds and Ikatik is talking about romance. So, the project is all about the moods and vibes each artiste brings," said Jimmy Q.
The rhythm was officially released on March 18.
"A lot of time and attention was put into this production and everyone is happy and satisfied with the quality," said the producer.
Jimmy Q is also getting ready to release a collaboration on a new single from Sharpadanarazor, titled Dr Miami. It is a mixture of the old and new school of dancehall, providing a social commentary on body surgery.
"The main focus right now is to put as much promotion as needed into each project that is already released," said Jimmy Q.
