Singer J, the self-styled 'world singer', salutes the tenacity of those emerging from COVID-19 lockdowns with his single, Never Born Weak.

"I saw that the country was locked down for a while and most of the pioneers of music, a lot of us, weren't doing any music for immediate release. Remember that I had a hit song about six years ago with Can't Stop Me Now and I said to myself, I wanted to go for the same kind of feeling as my first song for 2022," Singer J explained.

Although Never Born Weak will not be officially released until the end of April, the song has already received favourable response from radio disc jocks and fans alike.

"The feedback on the song right now is very crazy. We have radio stations across Jamaica giving the song good support and the selectors in the streets are playing it. The whole street just gone with the song," Singer J added.

Later this year, Singer J will release two projects, a gospel album and a tribute album to his uncle, singer and songwriter Bob Andy, who passed away two years ago.

"Knowing that he passed away during the pandemic, I decided to step up to ensure that I continue to keep his legacy going," he shared.

Singer J, whose given name is Omar Lattibeaudiere, is best known for hits including Wave Yuh Hand, I'm Chosen and Stay Away.
