Producer feels good about ‘No Beggy Beggy’
Producer and music promoter Andrew Powell is quite upbeat that his collaboration with dancehall/reggae artiste, Teflon, has taken off.
Powell is convinced that their song, No Beggy Beggy, is destined to become a hit. Since its release two weeks ago, the single has garnered more than 56,000 views on YouTube.
"Both me and Teflon have been getting crazy feedback on the song from radio stations, mixtape people and from the streets. People have been calling requesting a video for the song, so we are planning on getting the official video done sometime this month," Powell said.
The producer said that his association with Teflon, the Unruly Bobo singer, goes way back.
"I have been working with Teflon before he broke out and he has been keeping the link with me since then. He was actually one of the artistes who convinced me to start producing and he kept asking me for beats with the intention to voice for me. This is the second song that I produced with him," Powell explained.
He first worked with Teflon six years ago when they collaborated on Hot from Mawnin, which was featured on the Arcade rhythm. Powell said that he plans on voicing more artistes on the No Beggy Beggy rhythm. He is also amping up the label's stocks by releasing new music from up-and-coming acts, including Stinga J and Jiggy Ras.
