Canada-based reggae singer Jurney Star is looking forward to a bright future in the music business.

"I'm bringing my own unique sound and personality to the game. There can only be one Jurney Star, but I hope I will inspire other artistes to bring their own unique style and flair to the game as well," said the artiste.

The Kingston-born artiste, who lists Bob Marley, Phillis Dillon, Aretha Franklin, Etana and Lauryn Hill among her musical influences, is currently promoting a new single, titled Zion.

The song that was produced by LionAProwlEnt on the 13 Months rhythm was released on March 13.

"My new single is doing well. I am getting lots of positive feedback about it; it's getting a lot of support from DJs all over the world," said Jurney Star.

The artiste is currently busy in the studios working on her debut EP. The seven-song project, which is titled One Step, is slated to be released later this year.

"This is my first EP and I want to make a very good impression with it. So, we're taking our time to make sure we produce some wonderful songs for the people," she said.

Jurney Star, given name Joanna Sterling, launched her recording career in 2020 with the release of a single, titled This Time, on the Rebel Vibez record label.
