Kevin Lawrence is ‘clinging’ to love

Having enjoyed much success last year with his cover of Delroy Wilson's Run Run, Kevin Lawrence is set to release a new single titled Clinging.

The soulful lovers' rock song is produced by veteran producer Mr Doo on the Love Tonic rhythm.

"This one is for all the people who are in love and for those who are still trying to find the right person to be in love with. It's a classic love song that tells a beautiful tale about two people who are deeply in love," said the artiste.

The easygoing reggae singer says he's confident that the song will receive a warm response from music lovers both locally and overseas.

"I am confident that this song is going to do well because it has a message that people all over the world can relate to. Everyone loves a good love song," said Lawrence.

Also on the cards for Lawrence is a debut EP that is slated to be released later this year.

"So far, we've recorded some very nice songs [but] we have a few more to go. Once we've completed the recording process and everything is mixed and mastered, we'll set a release date," he said.

The Love Tonic rhythm also features songs from artistes like Abba Doo, Joseph Cotton and King Knemisis.
