Starboy Taz promotes ‘Badness’

Dancehall artiste Starboy Taz is amped up about the response in the streets to his latest single Badness, featuring Fully Bad.

"Now that the video is out, it is making a major impact within the music industry online. Respect to Fully Bad for the strength," Starboy Taz said.

The UK-born artiste has travelled regularly to Jamaica to work on various music projects and has been busy compiling his debut album.

"I want to make music that will live on for years to come, with a difference to what's out there today," he said.

Starboy Taz is the son of '90s dancehall artiste Ruddy Irie, who is known for songs like 1Day Jerry, featuring Shabba Ranks, Dollars Ah Do It and Dem a Model.

Starboy Taz is also related to deejays Mavado (on his father's side) and Govana (on his mother's side). He started his journey in music at the age of 10, performing at local events and stage shows within his community and winning various talent shows in and outside of the UK.

He is currently working on his EP, which will be out this summer.
