Jahvillani and Ovenboss create buzz

Dancehall entertainers Jahvillani and Ovenboss have teamed up on a buzzing new collaboration titled ‘Jump Off’, which has been gaining traction globally.

The single showcases both artistes in a vibrant mood which is complemented by a high-energy instrumental. According to Ovenboss, the single is making the rounds in the street and on social media.

“Di song a grow daily, especially on TikTok, Instagram and in the street. Many days me a drive and me hear it on street corners and in Coaster buses, which is always a sign that the street is taking a liking to it. Several popular social media influencers have reposted it as well, and the streams dem look good pon all platforms. Yuh done know we haffi seh respect to everyone who a support di ting, yuh zimmie,” stated Ovenboss.

Jahvillani has been enjoying a career resurgence of late following a cluster of buzzing singles, with this collaborative effort being the latest to gain traction. Ovenboss, whose given name is Jadae Gest, hails from Ocho Rios, St Ann. He said he grew up in a musically inclined environment and he drew early inspiration from the likes of Sizzla, Buju Banton and Garnett Silk. Jahvillani rose to prominence in 2019 following the release of his breakthrough single Wileside Government, which ruled the charts for several months.

Both men represent a new generation of artistes based on the north coast who are creating waves with a new style of delivery underpinned by the lavish lifestyle it presents. The accompanying music video for their collaborative effort is also quite impressive.

Currently, Jahvillani is busy completing his latest studio project under the guidance of YGF Records and others. Ovenboss is working with a plethora of producers, including Cashmill Records and Quefa Don Records.
