“It’s good to support your brother.”

That was the word from Sizzla, who was one of the many artistes who pulled up to Spragga Benz’s well-supported launch of his Endeavors Reloaded album on Wednesday evening. I-Wayne, who is featured on the same track as Sizzla, Teach Dem, was also present. And so too were Agent Sasco, Tarrus Riley and Bugle, all of whom have collabs with Spragga and were more than happy to say exactly how they feel about him.

I-Wayne was lyrical as he addressed the gathering, and declared, to loud cheers, that “We neva stoop nor bend fi bus ... and real masters never stop practising.”

Sizzla told THE WEEKEND STAR that when Spragga called him to say “Dada mi have mi album and I want you to be featured on it,” it was a done deal. He went to Danger Mental studio in New York and did what he needed to do, and he feels great to be a part of what he called “a beautiful album”.

“When Spragga sent me something on my phone about the launch, I had just got back from Costa Rica and I decided to come out and be sociable. It’s always good to be supporting someone in the music industry because this is what is feeding us,” Sizzla said.

He added, “A lot of artistes go out there to do the work and they are bombarded with nuff pressure from the system … I am speaking from experience. So it’s good to give them the strength, give them the encouragement and help to inspire another sou. And Endeavors Reloaded is a beautiful album.”

Bugle, who is featured on track number five, More Brotherly Love, showed just that.

“Spragga Benz is a artiste who mi idolise … always deh round. Spragga is an inspiration for Kingston 20. I am honoured to be a part of a Spragga Benz project,” Bugle told the audience.

‘Mr Singy Singy’ Tarrus Riley was all smiles as he greeted Spragga on stage.

“We at studio and hear seh Tarrus in town. But… is 10 o’clock … and Tarrus have flight at 12. So how we a go mek this happen?” Spragga recalled. But make it happen they did and the end result was what they both agreed was “brave, bold, strong and courageous”. The song is titled We Believe In You and also features Sean Paul. Spragga apologised on behalf of Sean Paul who was not in the island.

“The song is constructive and inspirational … something that di yutes dem can hold on to. It was spontaneous … we know seh it haffi happen and it happen. All the best in Endeavors Reloaded,” Riley told Spragga.

Meanwhile, Agent Sasco spoke plainly.

“This brethren is a significant part my journey. He showed up at a time when a lot of people would not,” said Agent Sasco, who played Blacka in the 2002 Jamaican crime drama Shottas, starring Spragga Benz.

Spragga, Agent Sasco and Stonebwoy all collaborate on So Called Bestfriend. Masicka, meanwhile, told THE WEEKEND STAR that he was present “to listen to good music” because he had heard some of the album at a studio in New York and was impressed.

Spragga Benz thanked all his friends who turned out to support him, among them Tanya Stephens, Stephen Marley, John John, Mr G, Jahaziel, Kareem Burrell and Haile Itrat.

“I expected them to be here. We are family,” Spragga told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Endeavors Releoaded is an expanded 13-track reloaded version of his 2025 project, Endeavors. It was released on August 28.
