Chang hits ‘Heatwave’ jackpot

Oliver Chang’s summer ended with a massive win as he drove off as the grand prize winner of Acropolis Gaming Lounge’s Summer Heatwave promotion. Chang copped a brand-new GWM Tank 500 HEV after his name was drawn at the Grand Draw on Saturday, at the lounge in Barbican Centre in St Andrew.

A premium hybrid SUV, the GWM Tank 500 HEV combines rugged off-road capability with luxury and technology. It features a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, a spacious three-row cabin, four-wheel drive and a host of advanced driver-assistance and safety features.

An elated Chang collected his key on the night and immediately called friends and family to share the news, showing off his new vehicle’s features.

While Chang was the winner of the main prize, over the 12 weeks of the campaign, more than 100 Acropolis patrons won a share of $20.3 million in cash and prizes. One person took home $1 million and another won $500,000.

“Summer Heatwave is the biggest promotion we have ever done at Acropolis,” said Dwayne Tulloch, senior vice-president in charge of retail and customer operations at Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL).

Tulloch said the promotion was designed “to say thank you to our loyal gamers”.

“Most of our winners over the past 12 weeks, including our grand prize winner, Oliver, have been part of the Acropolis family for over a decade. Their support didn’t start with this promotion, and we’re happy to have rewarded so many of them,” he said.
