Paul 'Keke' Wilson ready to face old club
Cavalier SC attacking midfielder Paul Wilson is looking forward to a reunion with his former club, Portmore United in the Red Stripe Premier League tomorrow at Stadium East Complex, starting at 5 p.m.
Wilson, who represented Portmore United at the senior level from 2011-16 before moving to Harrisburg City Islanders in the United Soccer League, says sentiments will be placed aside and he will take a professional approach to the game.
"For me, it is just another game. Portmore is a team that I like so much. They play good football, just like Cavalier. We have to go back to the training field and plan for the game," the 23-year-old told Star Sports.
Wilson admitted that Portmore United has changed since he last played there.
"I don't know much about them. They have changed the system of play, and they have a lot of new players," he said.
We have a nice set of players. The guys are willing to work hard for each other. I am getting used to some of the new guys. I am friends with some of my teammates, so we will just have to work hard as a team," Wilson shared.
Since moving from the Islanders, Wilson scored on debut last Sunday against Boys' Town. He also played against Tivoli in a 1-1 draw on Thursday.
Wilson is a former national Under-17, Under-20, and Under-23 representative.
