HITS

Tru-Juice continues to impress

LEGEND Jamaica Premier League (JPL) debutants Tru-Juice FC have notched another win in their debut season as they battered Humble Lion 4-0 in an impressive display with Tyrone Mullings bagging a hat-trick.

That makes it three wins in six games for the team from Linstead who sit comfortable in the league’s top six spots.

MoBay still yet to be beaten

Although they would have squandered a two-goal lead in their draw against Arnett Gardens, league leaders Montego Bay United are yet to taste defeat this season.

The giants from the West sit pretty atop the league standings with a record of four wins and two draws and are looking a formidable unit under Argentine head coach Javier Ainstein.

Tivoli back to winning ways

A narrow defeat to Racing last week seems to be nothing more than a speed bump in Tivoli’s rear view mirror as they steamrolled Dunbeholden over the weekend to return to winning ways.

Three unanswered goals mean Tivoli now moves within touching distance of the league’s top spot and they look ready to challenge the early leaders this season.

MISSES

Davion Megoo in the hot seat

Humble Lion’s grand return to the top-flight has been a nightmare for the Clarendon-based club who sit rooted at the foot of the table, without a win and 17 goals conceded in just six games played.

Head coach Davion Megoo will surely be feeling the pressure and will be praying for a miracle when they take on high-flying Racing United next week.

Cavalier falter to unlikely opponents

Before Monday’s encounter, Cavalier held a record 13 wins in 15 games against Molynes United, which made it a shock defeat for the former champions when they fell 1-0 to Molynes on Monday.

Cavalier, who have endured an inconsistent start to their season, will also be without veteran Nicolas Hamilton in their next encounter as he picked up a red card during the match.

Dunbeholden loses fifth game

Dunbeholden’s poor start to the season continues as they fell to their fifth defeat in six games. The St Catherine-based club just could not find an answer to Tivoli’s onslaught as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat.

With a fixture against Waterhouse on the horizon, Dunbeholden will be praying for a miracle to turn their season around.
